Thanks for sharing your mother's story. We all should be awaire of the risks before taking such a drastic measure. This surgery is dangerous and has many risks. We all had to make that decision prior to surgery and decide which was best for us. For me... The surgery has been a blessing so far, my quality of life has risen to a new level. This is not to say the rny is for everyone, our bodies are a strange and wanderous thing. Some people take offense when they hear the negative. I think it's great! because we should all be educated. I never heard of the liver problems though... What in the world? Why would rny distroy a perfectly good liver? Seems like there would have to be a problem to begin with, but who am I to say.
