my surgery is scheduled April 23rd
umm... (feel like I'm placing a personal ad LOL)
I'm a lesbian, been in a relationship for 11 years with my DP (don't know what I'm supposed to acronym her with). She's heavier than me although we're almost the same height. She has no interest in having the surgery herself and wants to lose weight by exercising and eating healthy while I do what I'm doing... (ummm, we'll see how that works..?)
I am not a part of any organized faith - although my partner is VERY active in her church - she's a board member. I do believe in a higher power and spirituality and respect the power of FAITH to transform lives. BUT I do things some people might be uncomfortable with - like tarot cards... so I think that's important to put here.
I have a dog named Zoe (1 year old) and a cat named Gracie (15 years old).
I live in Saint Louis Missouri.
I have a crazy schedule that changes every day because I work with families in crisis and see them when they need me to see them.. (I'm expecting this will be a big area I have to work on - balancing my needs and the needs of my clients - particularly in the area of maintaining a good water intake/food intake schedule as even now I struggle to "remember" to take my protein shakes with me during the day.)
I struggle with feeling anxious/worrying, feeling overwhelmed and stressed because of so many competing demands for my time. I am not very organized and this adds to my stress so someone who's good at organization would be helpful.
Always in my life a sense of humor and a good joke is one of the most EFFECTIVE means for getting me out of a slump or negative spiral.
