Chuck,
This fear kept me from the gym for the longest time. You know what? I started going a couple months ago and I really enjoy it. Truthfully, most of the people at the 24 hour fitness I go to are so into what they're doing, they barely notice who's around them! You'll see, when you go and get started on a recumbent bike or treadmill, it's YOUR personal journey. I find I do like it better if I go in the morning, or on a break from work during the day...just after work/after dinner tends to be the singles who mingle...and it's way crowded. (Oceanside location)...
You honestly will feel so good about yourself once you get going...and it's one step at a time to a healthier future. I'm sorry I waited so long. Do I like working out? I don't know that I'll ever LIKE it...but I do miss it when I don't go...and it keeps me from gaining my weight back. I do wish I'd gone during my rapid loss time...I'd have much better numbers!
