I just need to know how you all overcame the embarrassment and shame of walking into your local 24hr fitness or whatever and started a workout program. I appreciate any advice or encouragement you can give. I REALLY need it! You guys are great.

You know - I SOOOO remember walking in there with a BMI of over 50. I did not look good! But in I went and thought to myself, "Take a good look folks, because it won't be hanging off my ass for long" and here I am 130 pounds later, 22 pounds awayf from hitting goal and being a size 4. They're still looking, believe me, but not for the same reasons!
Most people are smart enough to realize that if you're that overweight, you're exactly where you belong. I remember when Bill started at our gym, he was wearing oxygen, walking with a cane. No longer!
Just be good to yourself and know that you're a work in progress. Imagine me there, holding your hand, saying _ "Lets get started!!" You know I'm with you every step of the way. The gym was the answer for me. Saved my life. Just go! Just do it!
