Early out after surgery, I couldn't eat with my husband and daughter. I just went to the livingroom and ate. It was mostly for me, the smells and all. I would have been even more bothered if they couldn't eat regular food. Key thing is the pace of eating and making good choices and going very very slow. There are still times now, that I have issues watching others eat high volumes of food, but those are my issues.

Keep busy doing other things before surgery....Food will be a full time job the weeks following surgery.

Best to you both!
