Kudos to you for your decision. You sound like a strong person and hopefully you are able to reach your weight loss goals on your own. I for one was not. My pre op weight was 252 at 33 years of age. I too have a 3 year old. My greatest time would have been to chase him in the yard and interact with him. But even that was a struggle at my weight. The heat about killed me, so did exercise. So I for one have not for a minute doubted my decision to have surgery. I also know I would have never lost 80 pounds on my own, ever. I feel like whatever struggles that come down the road I will be able to recognize and deal with. I also battle with food addiction everyday, but that said I know I would not be where I am today without this wonderful tool given to me through weight loss surgery. In a nutshell, gastric bypass surgery had given me my life back. Whatever problems arise down the road will be dealt with then. Good luck to you and I hope everything works out for you.
