I just have to say that I don't agree with everyone getting just ONE chance. Sorry Bridget, I love ya dearly, but who is to say we get ANY chances? I know I would hate it if nobody gave me a chance. It could be said that we had our chance and we screwed up the first time before we even had surgery. We couldn't do it then, so why would someone be looked down upon if they can't do it now? I think those people definitely need help and some serious probing into finding the root of their problems, but to say strike one and you're out is just not fair. Everyone is not the same and everyone will not react the same. Some can deal easier than others and we are all made differently. I know for me this surgery honestly "saved my life" literally. So, if it takes someone else a second time to "save their life", then more power to them. I'll support you with it! This is a serious issue and if it makes someone's life better and filled with more quality, then fine by me, just as the first surgery is fine by me. I'm not counting and nobody else should either. We all have to do what we have to do and to judge someone for failing at the first surgery is just wrong, in my opinion. We don't have the right to judge anyway. So, I say if it's something that can really help someone, then they should be able to do it if they choose.
