I agree with both Mike and Kelly (JerseyGirl).

My own opinion is that gaining 15 lbs. on a pre-op diet program is a red flag.

I'm not sure what the red flag represents, but it is just not good preparation for what lies ahead. I think it is a time for adjustment and reflection, and in doing so, and anticipating life after wls, it's just a good idea to totally prepare oneself, physically and mentally.

I would never want to hurt anyone in my tone, and I don't think most of us do. We do, however, feel a passion about this subject. And THAT is what can sometimes sound judgmental.
