Default Feeling like a chicken on the chopping board...

Sticking my neck out here. If I were asked to lose weight prior to surgery I'd have been crap out of luck...and the surgery would not have happened.

Prior to deciding upon weight loss surgery I tried REALLY, REALLY hard to lose weight on my own. I went to the gym 6 days a week (6 1/2 hours a week working out HARD!), logging what I ate (truthfully!), for 6 full weeks...and I lost only 4 lbs!!

So you really need to take into account a persons medical issues before lam-blasting someone. JMHO! I have had PCOS, endometriosis, total hysterectomy, taking medications for HBP, high cholesterol, hormones due to early hysterectomy, dieretic for PCOS and HBP, among other "issues" that would NOT allow me to lose any weight...and NOT because I wasn't "willing to accept a new life-style".

That said, pgh3rivers...do your VERY, VERY, utmost best to stick with the program! Good luck to you...you'll get there!

Cathy
