Honestly John how can they think otherwise?
every commercial is some 10+ hottie walking on the beach, people having "fun" in the great outdoors...
I see very commericals with a paitent struggling to get their 64 oz of clear fuilds down the day after surgery...no pictures of poeple with a line up of vitamins and supplements they take forever.... no pictures of picc lines, G-tubes, their head in the toilet bowl... yakiing up yet another meal..... definately dont' see many commercials of women looking at the huge hairball at the bottom of the shower and crying..... oh wait maybe that was just me!
Doctors sell this thing like it's the best miracle since penicillin. What are people supposed to think?
I know its not PC to say this surgery is a quick fix but lets face facts here...it's just that, unless people change thier lives and attitudes about food emotion and addiction and how they all fit together. I've yet to meet a person still skinny 8 years after this procedure that didnt make drastic long term changes to their lifestyle... food and excersize.
Our demons stay with us folks... it's the one part no one can cut away. These same demons are what helped to make us fat in the first place.
Spoken by the former fat person who had surgery and still views this surgery as a quick fix because I didn't have the willpower/strength...whatever you want to call it... to stop stuffing my face and emotions and learn to deal with them instead!
I don't alwasy agree with John or his delivery but I can get 100% behidn him on this one!
