I think Marty has an excellent point that we can keep sabataging ourselves by snacking etc and that the new surgery could very possibly end up with the same issues (or perhaps end up giving us huge side effects that we may not have had from the 1st surgery)

I think each of us does the best we can and it is too easy to judge those who make choices we wouldn't make.

Sorry I'm going to have to disagree with you there. We aren't talking about the general public or even anyone who is pre-op. This is a surgery for people who have ALREADY had the surgery. I cannot agree that this is the fix. The problem is there is no magic pill, just like there is no magic surgery.

People get GBS without doing much research thinking the surgery alone will fix their problems and make them loose weight and keep it off forever. While the surgery does give you a huge advantage and headstart on this process it doesn't do the work for you. Ask anyone over a year post op and they will tell you the exact same thing.

So the "fix" isn't another surgery ontop of the one you've already had(since we are afterall talking strickly post op GBS patients here). The fix is to use the tool that you where given when you had the first surgery.

I mean think about it. Weren't our means very very drastic? I know for me they where. I allowed myself to be cut open and my insides to be messed around with just to help me get controll of this serious addiction and problem I had with food. To go to such extreme's is nessesary in alot of our cases. Hech I was 450lbs....thats just not okay.

But, if you are struggling post op(btw im not talking about post oppers with serious medical issues and sideeffects from the first surgery, im talking about people who just are having a hard time keeping the weight off) from GBS the fix isn't another surgery ontop of the other one you've already had.

Maybe some GBS patients where under the impression if you had GBS sugery you didn't have to work and it wasn't going to be a pain in the ass to loose the weight and keep it off? Maybe some GBS patients thought it was going to be easy when they are way out post op and can now eat alot of the foods they so struggled with in the begining. Regardless guess what? This surgery isn't any different than the last one. Its not a miracle fix, its not going to get you to goal and keep you there. Thats solely up to you and you alone.

There is no magic pill, and their damn sure aint no magic surgery. This surgery aint the fix for post GBS patients making bad choices with their eating and workout habits. A lifestyle change however is.

I'm sorry you disagree with me.
