Okay...I didn't do that on purpose though I know how it might look. My first undergrad degree was in Biology, so I'm not nearly as sensitive to such things.

The surgery was virtually bloodless, and much less invasive than the open procedure that I had. Honestly, I didn't think that I saw much more here than what they show on Big Medicine.

I don't want to spend a lot of time sugarcoating either. This is major surgery, but I think it's uplifting and inspiring to know that this is the level of modern humanity. We are not necessarily bound to what we were born to be, but rather we are a canvas upon which we can be redrawn. I found the whole thing fascinating in a philosophical way and it made me 110% confident that I made the right decision in having this surgery.

MJ...thanks for sharing the link--I think it's important for anyone going through this to know what they are facing head on.

I thought this whole procedure was just awesome to watch, and not the least bit scary.
