hello again!
I was told once I could eat soft foods Wendy's Chili was alright to eat. As well as the pinto's and cheese from Taco Bell. You could get those little popsicle makers where you make your own and use S.F. Kool Aid or maybe Crystal Light or something like that. Or even the S.F. pudding and make frozen pudding pops for something different! Yes, make notes for your Dr of anything that comes to mind and bring them with you when you go back to see him. I have been doing that since before my surgery and I still do it. I just had my 6 month check up on Thursday last week, according to them I have lost 91 Lbs so far which isn't too shabby! I have no complaints, of course everyone is different to how they handle different types of foods and all that so all I can say is keep a positive outlook on things and it will all come together. Some days can be hard just trying to keep up with everything but it will be worth it once you get it down and know what your doing. Once you understand the food you eat and it's value it makes it a bit easier. I look at it like is it worth the calories. Example say you have a piece of string cheese (Light Frigo brand) is 60 Calories, 8 Grams of protien and 0 carbs so to me that's worth the calories. Something not really worth it would be say something that has high calories and no real protien value in it. I do eat peanuts for a snack here and there. They are good for you as well, but their value isn't too good. For 1 serving it's 170 calories, 7 grams of protien and 5 carbs. So in reality something like beef jerky would be great there is some Jack Links that has 80 calories, 18g of protein, and 2 carbs I believe something like that. So that's obviously worthy! My goal each day is to get my 90G of protein in and 1000 calories but I try to stay under 50-60 carbs. I don't know if that makes things confusing or not. I can ramble sometimes LOL... If you need anything feel free to yell. All the Drs are different so you will probably hear all sorts of things here and there they are not wrong just different beliefs about things. For the most part they are all the same give or take here and there!
Take it easy!
Melody
