Hi,

I'm new to this forum, although I'm 4 years post-RNY gastric bypass. My diabetes has returned and my doc put me on metaformin (Glucophage) this week. I'm having some serious dumping-like intestinal distress and wanted to see if others have had a similar reaction and/or if there's any information out there about RNY patients and glucophage post-surgery.

I read that the symptoms should subside in most patients in 2-3 weeks, so I'm willing to give it a shot, but I don't know if there are specific issues for WLS folks.
