Each doctor has a different protocol in regards to what's allowed. Did your doctor give you any sample menus/guide-lines? I personally was told to AVOID gassy veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, etc) and concentrate on PROTEINS and stay away from carbs! Protein is very important! Here's a short list of my food choices:

Canned tuna or chicken
Non-fat cottage cheese
Non-fat/Low-fat Ricotta cheese
Non-sweetened Apple Sauce
Hamburger/Meatloaf (run thru blender!!!)
Non-fat Refried Beans with melted cheese and a dab of sour cream
Green beans (ran thru blender)
Mashed potatoes
