Weeeeeeeelllllllll

I finished my one official work day this week. I'm off to Little Rock on Tuesday. I found a fantastic consignment shop near me. I chanced on some comfy jeans for 3.50 and hot heeled boots for 5.50. Why spend over 50.00 when I'm only gonna wear them about twice?? This wonderful little shop is going to save my life down the road.!!.

I did splurge on a few shirts from Lane Bryant. I also picked up some clearance items from the Avenue. I bought one too many business (impress the big wigs) outfits. Because of the later flight we are going to be heading directly to the conference before checking in at the hotel. I refuse to be uncomfortable (ie buisness savvy) for the plane ride. I'm a nervous wreck as it is. Not. A. Good. Traveler.!! My friend J agreed to be my airport partner at the layover in Dallas so I don't get lost this time.

The flight back stops in Chicago for a few hours (not enough time to leave the airport tho). I've never been through Ohare.

I have about six different lists going. I have major travel anxiety piled on top of everyday anxiety.

I've decided what I'm ordering from Cajuns Wharf. Chicken and shirmp. Not exactly the surf n turf most everyone ordered last time but I didn't even go with that when I had a chance. Now, if only I could figure out how to order a mojito without the soda water. I could sip on that all night long. It's gonna be difficult to be the only one not getting wasted. I'm afraid that I will have to face several questions as to why I am NOT imbibing. Who resists at an open bar?? AND not having a drink on the plane??? Perhaps I should pack my liquid loratab. (yeh that'll get through security) I don't know why I feel I NEED something.

I wish I had just one other gal along for the trip.

I'll be ok once I get there. It's the getting there thats the problem.

I'll think about the conversation I had with one of my former managers from Phoenix who relocated to Little Rock. She was instrumental in my decision to have surgery. When I emailed her that I had went ahead with it and couldnt wait to see her, she emailed back that she was PREGNANT. She got tears in her eyes last year when I was wishing Ash a Happy Birthday. Every year I tell him "Happy Birthday baby. I am SO GLAD I had you!

It will be good to see her and the other ladies I met who told me they would have the surgery ten times over and to email them with any questions.

I guess you could say it was life transforming last time I was in the South. Sooo here we go again and I expect nothing less.
