You are the first person I've ever heard bring this up - but I had one BEFORE WLS surgery. That was one of my issues going into the Dr . . .and I ended up with WLS eventually. They didn't know it was a Peterson's hernia until he was in there - I had an open surgery. I didn't remember him calling it a hernia - But I do remember the Peterson's . . .. cause it's my last name. My surgeon closed it up.
