You're not out of line. The diet that she is on right now will drop water weight, and when the food consumption begins the body will grab tight of it because of its fear of going into starve mode again (where it is now). Best thing to do would be have 5-6 mini meals a day. Plan them, no grazing and drink lots of water in between! Right now this is a crash diet, crash diets long term are not good, I wouldnt recommend them.

Newbie, youre a smartie :0 ) Good call on looking at the diet. I, a long termer, over looked it. To me habits are almost more essential to the consumption and I ignored it completely.
