Your post is funny!
Because I had my surger 10/23/07 and we are only a week apart. I can't eat chicken either, or salmon, tuna, pork, and eggs. Milk is ok with me as long as it's 1%-2%. I also am sick sick sick of the shakes. The powder, the mess, etc... I'm now drinking ready made Lean Body that is 40g 17 oz. 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 in the evening if I can stand it. I also eat alot of cottage cheese w/splenda to make up the diff of protien. Since I've added vitamin D and Iron I feel so much beter as far as being tired and walking seems to help too which I might add I've slacked on this week. So hopefully it will be a nice day tomorrow to get back on track. I was so glad you posted your frustration. We'll get through this. Funny though... I've gotten over my fast food addiciton. I don't even think of eating out anymore. The 3 times I've gone out since surgery were so small of meals I ate off my dh's plate (he doesn't mind). the last time I went with friends to Hooters I had the chili and only eat 2 bites. I didn't take it to go cause I have plenty of chili at home (not everyone wants to share they're plate of food) I fealt like it was such a waiste of good food and money. So, I'll have to rethink the whole eating out with friends. I fealt really out of place with them drinking and eating and laughing etc.. and I had my water w/lemon and 2 teaspoons of chili. I didn't like watching them eat either. My life is changing and I have to keep up with it and find new things that I like to do besides food.
