Petersons Hernia?
Hi folks.
I am 21 months post op and since July 07 have struggled with sickness/pain/nausea and poor appetite.
I was diagnosed with a Peterson Hernia and this was mended in emergency surgery.
Its a rare complication in people who have become underweight with the RNY. The bowels remain large and struggle for space, and twist to get comfy and end up twisting into the Petersons Cavity which causes the bowel to die eventually.
Would love to hear from anyone else who ahs had this complication?

RNY May 2006. I have lost 11.5 stone now weigh 7.5 stone. Have overshot and struggling to regain. BMI 18. Breast mastopexy & implants due Feb 08.
