Default anyone had these problems

Has anyone out there had these problems and if so can you offer any advice?
I am 4 months out from surgery and am still on liquids. I have had 5 EGDs to stretch strictures. Yesterday I had my last EGD and the doctor told me that my strictures are open but that I can not eat solid food because my small intestines were improperly attached to my pouch during surgery. According to the gastroenterologist, my intestined should have been attached to the bottom of my pouch so that food could drain out. Instead, mine is attached to the top left so food is unable to drain and comes straight back up my esophogus. He says that I need reconstructive surgery to prepare this. I am very hesitant and unsure of what to do. Has anyone else had these difficulties? I am supposed to meet with my surgeon on Monday but my husband feels that he messed up the first time so I should not let him do it again. Help!
