Hi Jake!
The day before my surgery, I was measured, weighed and given my BMI details. I knew all those beforehand but what really make me take notice was that her scale had this body fat measurement. 45.5%! Now, that really brought it home to me. The scales I bought on coming out of hospital include weight, calories, body fat, muscle mass and water content. The scales are mid-range and absolutely worth every cent I spent (I believe Target is the brand used by many on this Forum).
You will see your bmi drop, really appreciate the visible decrease in your body fat, see how good your muscles are toning up and importantly too, whether you are sufficiently hydrated or not.
Worth investing in decent scales and only weigh yourself once a week to begin with. I keep a weekly chart of each of these measurements and am delighted with the various losses and adjust my intake if my drinking is not good enough.
Good luck!
