Hi Linda, welcome back home. I'm glad all went well with your plastics. I had a tummy tuck, muscles and maxoplexy 3 months ago so I know where you are coming from when it comes to the pain. Like Laura said, it does get better but you need to give yourself time. I know I had dry heaves that whole first night after surgery and it just about did me in!! After I had all my drains out I started to feel better. I know what did help a lot was Valium. I had a lot of muscle spasms because of the muscle tightening and my PS gave me a script for a little Valium. I only took it about once a day but it sure was the answer when those muscles would start tightening up. I know for myself the exhaustion was totally unexpected. I felt like a wet rag for a several weeks!! So don't be surprised if you are really tired. I know I was taking naps there every day for probably the first 2-3 weeks. I don't know if about you but I know I lost a lot of blood during the surgery plus had aunt flo thrown in there to add to the blood loss so I'm sure that's why I was so exhausted.
Hang in there my dear. Get yourself a nice body pillow to curl up with. It was a God send for me!! It's a lot of pain for awhile but in the end I know you will be so thrilled!! I would love to see pictures if you ever feel like sharing. I have a journal with mine in. They cover the first several weeks post op. Just let me know if you would like to see them. I'm happy to direct you to them and give you the password.
