Three years ago I had lap band surgery and lost 17kgs only to have gained back every kilo. I had never felt that the lap band surgery was the right surgery for me and am amazed at some of the results that I hear other people obtain. I am now seriously considering gastric bypass and have been for about a year but get cold feet each time I think about making an appointment with the specialist. I have done considerable research on the net but really need someone who has has the operation to talk to. My main concern about the bypass is complications occuring such as internal bleeding and blood clotting, and loss of hair. A few days after having lap band surgery I became very ill and had serious stomach pains. I was re-admitted to hospital and put on the drip and given morphine. I think this experience has scarred me. I also went through a period where I did lose a considerable amount of hair but now thankfully it has grown back. Can someone please let me know about their procedure step by step. From the day it happened until they reached their goal weight. Thankyou Tina M.
