You really cannot compare the speed of weight loss with another. It is so different. Every loses at different speeds. Bodies react different to large weight losses in short amount of time. Some people plateau some don't. You are doing fine. You may want ot eat more frequently though, only 3 meals a day is not enough. You should be eating 5-6 times a day. I think a lot of people get stressed when they hear someone losing more weight than they are and think something is wrong. It's not. It's a totally different process for everyone. Weight loss will be faster in the first 3 months, then slow down a bit, then really slow down after 6 months. It doesn't necessarily stop, but weight loss does slow down. My WLS support group brought our clothes from our pre-op photos and tried them on at our last meeting. What a hoot! When anyone is feeling down or the weight loss has slowed or temporarily stalled, or you are just kinda feeling fat, try on your old clothes. What an eye opener and a boost! I literally had to hold up my pants. I went from a size 28 to a size 4. It really made me feel good. Give it a try. Sue
