The amount I have been able to eat has increased. The doctor told me that it would over time. The goal is to keep your pouch as small as you can for as long as you can, it is a tool and should be utilized as best as possible. Right after surgery I could barely get in 2-3 baby spoonfuls of anything. At about 2 months I was able to eat the 1/4 cup, 4-6 months I was at about 1/2 cup and now I am between 1/2 and 3/4 cups.
I too can drink water without having any discomfort. During the hot months there were a couple of times when I was working outside came in and had a big drink of water and felt the familiar pains of overfull. In general though I am drinking more at a time which is making it so much easier to get all the fluids in that I need to.
Things will change over time, it is the natural progression of it all. Stay in touch with yourself and your body, talk to your doctors and follow their advice and remember it is a life style change. There are no more "bad" days, there is just life.

Do I really want to be normal?? Having some body issues. Don't want to be too thin.
