Hello and welcome to the forum!!! I myself am an emotional eater. You are already ahead of the game because you have recognized the issue. I would recommend that you keep a diary of the stress and the eating. Once you have to write everything down, it makes it real! It is kind of hard to deny it once you have written it down. It worked for me.
It will also give you a chance to see what the big stresses are in your life. Once you find out what those are you can move on to try and conquer them. Therapy is great! Self help books are amazing!
