Has anyone else had to do a sleep test as part of their pre-op testing? I have to go tonight at 8pm for one and I'm not looking forward to it. The thought of having someone watch me sleep is just totally creepy! Do they have a "bed time" where they'll make you turn your TV off or stop reading? I don't usually go to sleep until about 2am (college hours lol) and lying there is going to be really frustrating. I know I have to do it and get it over with but I was wondering how any of your experiences were. The paper they gave me said I have to turn off my cell phone and everything
I know I'll survive, I'm just going through some stuff lately and I don't want to be alone with just my thoughts
It should be my last pre-op appointment, then 30 days before surgery I have to see my primary care physician, have lab work (blood test), and have an anesthesia consult.
So far I've already done,
EKG
PFT
Upper GI
Cardiology consult
Chest Xray
Abdominal Ultrasound
Nutrition consult
Psychology consult
Psychology evaluation
Pulmonary consult (where he scheduled me for this darn sleep test lol)
