I somehow missed this post....and just read it beginning to end! Wow! What a freakin' nightmare! I can't believe after all you've been through that your doctor wouldn't give you pain meds! That is bullshit!! I have a mild case of degenerative disc disease, and recently had some neck issues on top of it, so my pcp gave me 60 Vicoden and a bottle of Lortab Elixer both with 3 refills! What the heck? Why is that doctor so unwilling to keep you pain free?? I just don't get that!! I'm glad things are looking up for you now. Sounds like you've turned the corner from what I read in the last couple pages of posts. Your boss sounds like an ass. When I had my surgery and complications I ended up being off for 2.5 months and they couldn't have been nicer! My docs came to see me every day (I work for a group of GI docs) and my boss brought me short term disability papers to fill out, and he even faxed them for me! They also donated pto hours for me!!! (120 hours paid). It's the reason I will never leave that job! They were so good to me....it touched me deeply! Well, I hope things continue to improve for you!
