In teh classical sense a "revision" is any work done to post GBS paitents. So if the pouch has stretched out, the stoma enlarged, bowel needs to be shortened or lengthend, Stoma strictured to the point that it cna't be opened by endo. There's also the point that former surgerys can be converted or reivse... like gastric stapling to RNY or LAPBand to RNY

Reversals are also sometimes classified as revisions but the technically they are what's called a "Take-down" ecasue you can never truely "reverse" the surgery. You can kind of put things back in thier place but htere will also always be soem difference in your anatomical make up once the surgery has been done.

There some thougth out there to new procdures one is called Stomafyx the other is ROSE. in these procdure the doc can go in through the mouth and reduce the size of a stretched out pouch and stoma, aloowing once again for the "restrictive" part of our surgery to be functional. It's much less invasive than traditional method of going in throughthe belly, either Lap or Open surgery. Faster healing.

My thought is if I have to go through this every couple of years... I might as well join wieght watchers....
