Welcome!
I am so sorry you have had such problems. I have had a few complications, but none life threatening. I had my open RNY one month after you. 12-27-04.
I ended up with a double hernia on my incision line, which led me to a partial body lift which led me to severe anemia which led me to blood transfusionas and iron infusions. The plastic surgery also led me to an intubation granuloma on my vocal cord so that led me to the removal of, but it grew back.

Thursday I go back for another iron infusion and I am not sure what I am going to do with the new growth on my vocal cord.....for me all the testing has really been exhausting!! They scoped, probed and scanned just about every inch of me!!

I fell pretty good most of the time, and like you, would have liked to have lost a couple more pounds, but all in all the complications have been worth it to me!

Maybe the hurdle is past and you will be on your way to a sunny future!!
