That video really hit me hard today too, (coudn't even sit here after watching it) especially since I have an "adopted son" who is 18 and he is in boot camp now. (He is not legally adopted by me, but I gave him a place to live and took care of him for his senior year of high school.) He is my son's best friend. He calls me "Momma", even though his mom lived 15 minutes from us. She kicked him out with no place to go and wouldn't let him even see his little sisters and told him she would call the police if he showed up at their house. He is more mature, courtesy, and well-behaved than my real son! He struggled to graduate from high school and was so determined to be shipped out two weeks after graduation that he sat up all hours of the night doing term papers and studying so he would pass. His mom and her husband moved off to another state a few weeks before he left for boot camp and just left him here. He is going into the infantry and I am SO PROUD OF HIM! He writes home 3 or 4 times a week and I burn the pencils and paper up writing him too. He calls once every week for about 5 minutes and it's the best 5 minutes of my week I do believe just to hear his voice say "Momma" on the other end of the line. I DO tell him I am proud of him and I love him. I want him to know he is doing a wonderful thing for all of us AND his own future in securing a means to support himself and have something one day. I want him to know that even though he does not have his biological mom, THIS MOM is VERY PROUD! We get to see him in 2 1/2 weeks for family day. He gets to spend the night in the hotel with us in GA where he is at boot camp. I am so excited and can't wait to give him a big old hug! He asked me to put his cord on him at his "Turning Blue" ceremony. I cried when I received the letter asking me to do that. I feel so honored and lucky to have him in our lives.

As far as the color or race of the people in the video, what color or race were they? I am with Lisa......I don't see a color either.....only hearts that are affected. As far as this goes....my adopted son is Jewish, I'm Christian. It doesn't matter to me. What matters is how we treat each other.
