Default A question on dumping...

I am still pre-op...but was wondering about dumping syndrome....

Now if I have certain foods...for instance a cupcake with a ton of frosting on it...or a really high fat meal with tons of butter (or cream...like half-and-half), I will get a super bad stomch ache that really hurts...and I will need to litterally hightail it to the restroom at some point after eating the meal. Then I will have the runs for a while...not just once...

Has this happend to you pre-op? How is this different from dumping?

I wonder, because eventhough I know I react this way to certain foods....I STILL eat them. I know its destructive...but I guess its part of being a food addict. I fear dumping syndrome might not deter me from eating what I shouldn't after suregry...
I mean I am going to really try and focus on being healthy and eating what makes me feel the best and have the best results..but I am just wondering if the dumping syndrome will really be that big of a deterent...
