Retightening spontaneously?
Ok just wondering if any of you 2 years or out people have experienced this phenominon? Its like i can only eat 2 or 3 bites of solids and then i'm full and alittle sick. Sometimes nothing helps except making myself vomit it back up. Just wondering if anyone else had this.
My bypass will be 2 years out next month, but also my doctor does the little cilastic band sewn in so that its impossible to have the GB stretch any i'm wondering if that band is why i cant eat more then the 2 bites? (i'm not complaining at all but wondering why now after so long)

I have days or part/days when I find it virtually impossible to get much down before I feel full and uncomfortable.
I don't push it Debs, I just have a protein drink and try again either later in the day or the following morning.

I still have tough days.I had been doing pretty good with solids and not having to vomit for almost six months, however the past three nights I could not keep dinner down.Maybe we just hit phases.Full Moon?
Do you eat lots of smaller meals? I ask bc I used to and then started spreading them out...but I feel for me...smaller meals, mre often and they stay down.
Weird..even at 4 1/2 yrs out.

i will have to try that Van cause if not i'm just snacking on stuff because the solids really dont stay down too much or i can only eat like 2 bites. I will try having smaller meals spaced out. My trainer said it was ok for me IF i wanted to, to eat 3-4 healthy tv dinners (because the cals are specific) but i cant even finish my normal Healthy Choice or Smart Ones dinners so

Um, yeah... the sodium in those "tv dinners" are insane and not meant to be a meal all the time. I would think a personal trainer would be telling you to make some healthy- home made type meals. Not to mention, I don't think your surgeon would be recommending those smartones type meals.

There is no way I could eat my way through a Smart Ones dinner - that's just over 9oz of food. Healthy Choice meals are bigger.
Deb's - have you looked at a slow cooker? Cook in bulk and freeze in Gladware type containers. And if you enter your recipe into a calculator like this one Recipe Calculator it'll calculate the nutrition per portion for you. It's going to be a whole lot healthier and cheaper too.
Sparks have some excellent recipes too and they even give you the nutritional breakdown. SparkRecipes

Do you think it can be something else? Do you have pain when you eat? Just hoping nothing bad is going on.

Deb's,
I've just re-read my post and I apologise if it came over with an attitude. That wasn't my intention.
I just have a dislike of prepared, store-bought meals. I appreciate that they're portion controlled and convenient and quick but apart from being expensive, they're generally high in carbs and contain a lot of chemicals/preservatives and big words I can't even pronounce let alone understand.
I know you're a busy, working Mum but with just 10 mins of prep. time, you've got yourself a healthy meal doing it's own sweet thing with plenty to put in the freezer.

Deb - I eat Lean Cuisine almost every day for lunch and sometimes for dinner and so far haven't had any problems from it. No weight gain - no unusual nutritional problems.
I hope it isn't the beginning of some kind of stricture for you.

Kelly and Corrine, yeah i know the TV dins arent the best way to go, but both the surgeon and trainer said they are alright with it, they're not worried about the sodium because i dont eat the kind that have tons i eat the more proteiny type ones and my sodium for the most days is under 2000 and people should have 2400/ day but anyway i need a new slow cooker, but dang they are so easy to prepare ya know pop them in and go
My surgeon doesnt think its a stricture because i'm almost 2 years out and yes sometimes i have pain with the solids
