I'm still working on it.

I'm still struggling with how much I should eat. I think my portion sizes are really skewed. I'm doing much better than I was, but I'm not where I think I should be.

I'm really focused on the number right now. My 40th birthday is two weeks from today, and I WILl be in the 150's again by then, even if I have to go back to a liquid diet for a few days.

I'm not snacking on carbs like I was before, and I have no problems during the work day, but when evening comes I have an overwhelming "hunger" I know that at least 75% is all in my head, but I haven't managed to completely ignore it yet.

So I guess I can say I'm headed in the right direction, but I'm definitely not at my destination yet.

When in doubt, 1/2 plate full of veggies, 25% lean protein, the rest EMPTY. That's what I do Just a tip for you to think over. Good luck sugar pea.

I'm going to try the "plate method" and see how that works. Thanks for the advice.

I was just past 2 yrs when I started to gain weight back. I put on 20 before I realized that I could gain weight. And it was the same for way me, once I found out that I could eat just about anything...I did. In my case the sins were easy to identify (sugar and empty carbs), so I just cut them out. It took a couple of months, but my weight dropped back down (even lost an extra 5).

Everyone gets to a point post-WLS where they discover that they can gain weight again. And IMO, it is at this point that you REALLY discover how to "use" your tool. For me this was a tremendous confidence builder. Having failed on so many previous diet attempts, it was nice to know that this is something that I can do (long term).

It sounds to me like your back on track. You'll be down to goal before you know it.
