Unhappy Re start this

OK so I have been on here in a long time...i should never let it ever go this long again. I never realized how much i really do need all ur support. I have gained about 13 lbs since my lowest and Im started to feel awful about myself and why i did this in the first place. tomorrow is my new start....Im restarting my diet with my pre surgery diet. trying to let go of my old habits i started again. Like sugar and coffee and snacking so 2 weeks. Anyone else go through this and if u did what did u do to get back on track to ur goal weight i still havent reached mine and Im feeling like I never will. Missed u all thnx in advance

Try the 5 day pouch test. I think that might be easier than just a "diet". If I weren't pregnant, I'd do it with you. Good luck!

My guess is that this is the first time you've had to deal with gaining weight post-op. It happens to most around 18-24 months. Do not stress about it. In my case, I was eating/drinking too many sugars (soda). I found just cutting out the sodas that I could loose the gained weight.

I have found that my body weight tends to gravitate towards 250. If I gain some weight, I can drop back down fairly easily. But trying to get below 250 is difficult. My weight at 18 months was 265 (before I started gaining some back), and the 15 pounds (net) that I've lost since then (over the last 2+ years) is mainly do to an increase in activity/exercise. I am also hovering 10 to 15 pounds from my ultimate goal, but I can live with that.

hehe yeah, we just found out. I'm due somewhere between December 30th and Jan 5th.

Back onto the original thread....Jim is right. If you keep a food diary for a few days, you might be able to see certain things that you could drop that maybe be causing that gain.

I'm in the same boat but I've been cheating a little bit longer than you. I re-dedicated myself as well this week. Its a day by day process so keep your head up. If you need encouragement you are definitely in the right place!!

How are things going now? Are you getting back on track? I am in the same place as you. I stopped coming here on a daily basis, and I have now gained 16 pounds from my lowest weight. I have started recording what I'm eating in Fit Day, and working out again. Hope all is going well with you.

Wishing all of you who are rededicating yourselves the best of luck.. I am kind of in a bit of a mess myself here this week. I have had WAY too many carbs (popcorn & bread) and my scale really showed it this morning.

I've gone from a low of 182 back to 185 and I'm really trying to make sure this trend is reversed before I make things worse. Weekends are always hardest for me, but I am trying to get out of the 'I'll start on Monday' mode which was always a downfall pre-surgery.

Oh darn! How many calories in Fumi salad? And I've only had 33g of protein today. My pouch hurts from all the nuts in the salad. I think I'll have to drink the rest of my protein. I have about 4 hours left to drink 40 oz of water, take half my supplements, and get in 50g of protein.

I am 64 years old and still act like a two-year-old sometimes.
