I've been gone from here awhile too... almost a year. In that time I replaced my food addiction with alcohol- addiction transference, it's a bitch. I have managed to kick that addiction now, but I'm back to struggling with food.

I also got married in November and took on 3 step children ages 8,3 and 2. My husband is a widower. That in and of itself has been a struggle. To top it off, my husband is from Georgia- land of fried food and simple carbs. I've gained 11 pounds since we got married (I'm 20 months post op). So today I'm re-committing myself to the proper lifestyle, and it's not going to kill my family to eat healthier either!

Here's hugs and prayers to all of us who are in this together.

Dear "Construction Chick",

I just wanted to give you a quick hug - for being mama to all those children. What a blessing for them to have you. And what a blessing for you to have them, too! Give them hugs for me.

Congrats on your marriage and your three little ones. My husband was a package deal with two little ones they were 3 & 15 mon they are now almost 6 and 4. I wouldn't know what to do without them in my life. He has full custody so they are with us all the time, and I wouldn't have it any other way. We know have one more, so there's always room for more.
