Unhappy Vomiting blood and weight gain

Hey Guys Its been a long time since I posted , I still lurk when I get a chance but my son was diagnosed with severe Autism and other health problems last year so that has been my focus ..

I started swelling really bad about 6 months ago and passing blood on occassion and now vomiting blood with my stomach swelling so bad almost daily looking like I am about to give birth. The pain is sharp and unbearable at times. I went to the ER about 6 months ago and they told me I had bleeding ulcers , gave me some meds and sent me on my way . I had my surgery in San Diego and now live in VA Beach and to be honest the ER here had no clue at all about GB patients( none military hospital) . So after raising enough hell with Tricare I got an appt and saw a doc yesterday and they told me I had a leak and I have surgery sched for March 8th to repair it .
Has anyone this far out (I had surgery Nov 2007) had these problems ? Is this commom. I have even gained 10-15 pounds and I eat really healthy as I cant hold most things down .I shoud be skinny with amount I can keep down but its the opposite

Scared and confused as my hubby is deployed until end of the month .

Can anyone relate

WOW sorry you are having so many problems. I hope that after the fix the leak all will be good with you, and you get healthy again. Sorry I can't give you any great advice because I haven't had problems, but I do want to wish you a speedy recovery.

I can't relate to the problems you are having but it sounds pretty serious. What I suspect happened is that the ulcer basically perforated threw your pouch wall causing a leak. Guess I don't know why they didn't have you in emergency surgery.

I'm glad you finally got some answers. Hopefully this surgery will put you back on the right road.

Keep in contact.

Today is March 15th, you said you were scheduled for March 8th, somethings wrong here, so If by chance meant to say they scheduled you for surgery on APRIL 8th, I would say someone better have some good mal-practice insurance, waiting three weeks to look into the problem, Im confused!!

Well I got my leak and bleeding fixed . I am back to liquids for the next 10 days ...YAY ..How I remember those days

One great thing to find out is is my pouch hasn't stretched at all and I am over 2 years .. You always hear about us folks that are a few or more years out pouches being stretched. That was good news

Glad to hear that all is fixed now and that your pouch hasn't stretched.

How are you liking the liquid diet - does it include soups?
