Default 2 years I made it!!!

Yes, to the question would you do it again. I am staying between 168 and 170, if when I weigh in the morning I am 170, I know that I need to have a bowel movement. For what ever reason my body saves it up for a couple of days. I'm very consistent (my wife says a consistent source of methane) in my weight. I have to eat a least 4 or 5 times a day to maintain. Life is different, I quit eating tomatos 30 yrs. ago because of acid-reflux, now it is a mainstay. I can't do sugar or a lot of fat, so you find ways around it. For breakfast I have a couple of fried eggs on a dry toasted english muffin, my wife fries up bacon and saves me the grease in a container in the fridge, to fry my eggs I use Pam then with the tip of a butter knife I grab a little bacon grease (not much) melt it on the frying pan and it tastes just like you cooked your eggs in grease. For potatoes I use cottage cheese instead of butter, I use Stevia or Splenda for sweetner. I find that steak goes much better if it is cooked on a grill , barbeque or in a George Forman rather then in a pan. It is very easy to overeat and boy do I pay for it. Then I use graveity to help, if I lay down for a half hour or so it gives me relief, if I stay upright I suffer much longer. For the guys I have come up with the perfect answer, for people I haven't seen in awhile who comment on my weight loss, I tell them about my heart attack a few years ago and that the Doc. said for my health I would have to quit smoking, drinking, and lose weight. so I told him for my health and family I could lose weight.

Tim,

It's good to hear that at 2 years post-op your able to maintain your weight so well. And the fact that you pouch still works (you get sick if you over-eat) is comforting to me too!

You've done amazing!

Cathy
