Feel the same
Hey... I am about to be 2 yrs post opp in November. I am feeling the same way you are but I am also sliding off track. I have been eating more sweets then i should being I barely dumb and carbs :-/ as of today i started to journal what I ate and cut out the carbs. it is defienlty head hunger, I manage a bank and tend to sit a lot and this is causing me to want to graze. we constantly have cookies and coffee for the customer which is such a huge temptation. I still have a hard time finishing half a sandwhich and soup, but there are days it goes down with no problem which scares me like no other. So tomorrow i go back to the gym since I havent been since april. It is def head hunger, i feel your pain and I feel a little bit better and more willful knowing i am not alone!

As of: 11/23/08- Happy now!! You know who!!262
MONEY IN THE BANK TO DATE......$3920
This is the running amount of money saved by not having to spend so much eating out. Number based on spending $20 a day on food. And that very conservative!!!

I will be 2 yrs. out next month and I get hungry about 5 hrs. after I wake up and am hungry hungry til I go to sleep. I can easily wolf down 2000 calories in a day even if I'm eating high protein/high fiber foods.
So it's definitely not just you. I thank the higher powers that I still have this tool, but I definitely wish my honeymoon period had been longer.
I was freaked that my pouch had stretched too and I did the 5 day pouch test. You should try it. If you do that and it doesn't help to get you back on track, then it might be that yours has stretched a little. Chances are though that if you start eating only protein, you'll notice that feel fulling again.

I've always heard that the artifical sweetner in these "diet" drinks we consume can make you hungry....tend to make you want to graze, or drink more of the sweetened drinks....does anyone else think this?
I know I used to inhale diet dr pepper and I couldnt get enough and I would crave snacks...not b/c I was hungry literally but b/c I just wanted a snack.
Perhaps grazing on things that are good for us and wont undo the good we have done with surgery will help.
is it true that after a year post op you can really eat the sweets and crap that would make you sick early on? Does your body readjust and you can consume all that crap that would make you deathly ill post op?

From the beginning (well, I discovered it fairly early on when I accidentally got a mocha that had regular milk instead of non fat), I haven't been able to eat certain types of high fat foods, including anything that's dairy and not completely solid. Even 2% milk causes me to dump, but I can eat cheese. Soft cheese like brie is a problem if I eat too much of it, but cheddar is fine.
Anyway, my point is that those foods still bother me even 2 yrs. out. Give me regular fat ice cream and I'm out like a light!
I'm not sure about others and whether they develop a tolerance for things like sugar, I never had a problem with anything but fat.

Yes, I think this is true also...I have read an article regarding this. I'll look for it...it's somewhere on here I think?
