It took me 10 months from start to finish. Sent to the wrong doctor first (not in my area), then an insurance switch and trying to get all the tests done. I turned lactose intolerant after surgery, but then I was partially lactose intolerant before surgery (it runs in my family). Within a month of surgery I was back to only partially lactose intolerant. Can't handle milk, cottage cheese, and ice cream I can only handle if I am in the mood for it (sugar free of course). Cheese I can eat no problem. Eggs? That is dairy products, not milk products. No problem with them. Good luck on your journey!
