Hey everyone
My name is Jen and I'm 20 years old. My mother just had WLS in December of 04 and has had nothing but success so far. I was there through all of it, so I guess I know what to expect. Unfortunately, I inherited her bad genes and have been having weight problems my entire life. I'm 5'5" and 235 pounds
I'm terribly afraid of becoming diabetic like my mom and am having a ton of trouble trying to maintain a weight and the depression is taking over. At first I didn't think I would ever be eligible for the WLS, but then I was reading and a lot of people started in my weight range.
Well, I guess I just have a few questions for anyone who would be able to help me. My mom set me up with a consultation with her doctor in Philadelphia for June.
*How long does it usually take between the consultation and the actual surgery date?
Ok, maybe just one question. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
