I felt bad for Rosa as well... But all things happen for a reason. I hope for her sake she accesses some sort of counseling or therapy to work out some of her emotional issues.

It scares me when some people have this surgery and are so emotionally unprepared for the after-effects... like people who "self-soothe" with food, which you simply CANNOT do after surgery. If someone's primary method of handling stress is to EAT, then what are they supposed to do when they can no longer do that???

Like I think they said in this episode-- if a person can't commit AT ALL to a pre-op weight-loss regimen (like with Rosa-- she GAINED a pound when she was supposed to be on the liquid diet), they're not going to be successful after surgery. In that case, surgery could potentially be dangerous, way beyond the basic medical risks.
