I still don't think its a good idea for kids to have the surgery. As a teen and child your brain is still growing and changing at they are in that pesky little phase of adolescent egocentrism...which makes it all about me and what I want. Same reason why a child can't drive and why many states have graduated DL and the age of drinking is 21 and the age of conscent is 18....because they (and we at that time just don't THINK).
Just my two coppers though...would love to hear others stories.
