I can relate too. I was a size 26 top, 3X bottom and MO. I am now a 10-12 on the bottom and 14 on the top. I do see a much smaller person in the mirror, but I dont' think I see that size. I know down deep I have changed, I see a different person, but I dont think its the person that everyone else sees.
I have found in the past few months its a little easier to realize its me. Not sure why, but there has been a change. I still see clothes in the store, grab a larger size, think I am bigger and that all sales people lie...LOL.
I work with a bunch of "tiny" girls in size 0-6. There are 2 bigger ladies - a 14 and an 18. I now know that I fit in with all of them....never to expect to be in a single digit and thats fine with me. I am still a giant compared to most of them. I didn't see myself as I was as a MO person...cried when I saw my pre-op pics...not believing it was me..but it was. Even along the way, after loosing 80 pounds I thought I looked SO GOOD...I look at those pics now and I don't think I looked that good.
Many people would say that I am still overweight, others tell me to stop loosing weight.
Key thing for me, even if I dont' see what everyone else does, I am happy with my size now.
