I remember opening my eyes and looking around in recovery and thinking "I'm alive . .. Ok, I'm alive" An hour later when I got to my room I was totally coherent. I had a PCA and was not drugged like my pod mate who had an epidural . . . she was OUT OF IT for about 10 hours after surgery . . . I was ready to walk the halls in about 3 hours . . .
