For me, I don't recall the recovery room at all. I remember waking up in my private room with my husband and friends there. I had oxygen on and remember trying to take it off, but them telling me to keep it on. I was pretty drugged up the first few hours. I was afraid to feel pain, so I made sure I pressed the morphine button. I vaguely remember them telling me my sugar levels were extremely high and that they had to give me insulin twice, but that seems more like a dream than a reality.
