I was up walking about 4 hours after I got to my room, after my surgery and was home 24 hours after surgery. I was allowed to go back to work after my 2 week post-op check but decided to take 4 weeks off from work. I am an RN and felt I just needed the extra time since I work long shifts on my feet and do a lot of lifting of patients. I'm glad I took the extra time. I wasn't in a lot of pain but my stamina just wasn't there after only 2 weeks.
