I completely understand how you feel, this is a long journey and it controls all your thoughts. I too felt like I am/was being selfish for allowing this to consume me but after getting some wonderful advice and support from friends and family and this amazing board I have made peace and I know this is the right decision.
Your daughter is young enough that this surgery should change both your lives. I wish you the best! Just remember this is for YOU! The benefits of that are endless and will filter to those around you!
