Anyhoo... I researched the YMCAs in the area and I can join the one in the burbs for a few more $$s than the ones here in the city and then use any of them (there are 3). I can try out each one and see which one I like the best. I REALLY REALLY need at pool. My back problems have kept me from doing much exercise. In May I'm having knee surgery and won't be able to do anything but swim. Soooo.. I'm gonna get off my ass and Join the Y! I know. Who cares. lol
Awesome! I agree I think a pool is great to have. I love swimming laps and relaxing after a hard workout. Its also a great place to do cardio as strange as that sounds. I think its awesome you are finding a place better suited for you.

Most people find a gym and after paying they discover its really not what they want so they just quit. You are improvising. good for you.
